Your Guide to the Ball System
Ball System for Ice Spell Sweepers
In Ice Spell Sweepers, the Ball System is designed to bring excitement and strategy to your fantasy curling experience. Here’s how it works:
1. Player Performance Points
Players earn points based on their performance in real-world curling events. The better they perform, the more points they accumulate. Points are awarded for actions like sweeping, making precise shots, and setting up plays.
Example:
1 Point for each successful shot made
2 Points for every perfect sweep that leads to a successful shot
3 Points for a game-winning shot
5 Points for a successful takeout or complex strategic play
2. Bonus Points for Exceptional Plays
Exceptional performances don’t go unnoticed. When your players exceed certain milestones, they receive bonus points. These big moments can push your team ahead of the competition!
Example:
+5 Points for a “Triple Takeout” (taking out three stones in one turn)
+10 Points for a perfect game (all shots in the game executed flawlessly)
+3 Points for a game-winning curling shot in a high-pressure situation
3. Team Performance Bonus
The performance of your entire team can lead to bonus points. If your players collectively achieve key milestones, you will receive additional points that boost your overall score.
Example:
+10 Points for a team performance score of 100+ total points in one match
+5 Points for a flawless team sweep sequence (perfect coordination between all players)
4. Matchup Rewards
Winning matchups against other fantasy teams rewards you with additional points. The more victories you secure, the higher you rise in the rankings!
Example:
+15 Points for winning a matchup
+5 Points for defeating a higher-ranked team
5. Injury and Penalty Deduction
Sometimes things don’t go as planned. If one of your players gets injured or makes a significant mistake, you’ll lose points. This creates an element of unpredictability and forces you to adapt your strategy.
Example:
-5 Points for a player missing a game due to injury
-3 Points for a major mistake (e.g., an accidental burn or mishandled stone)
6. Power-Up Opportunities
Throughout the season, you’ll earn Power-Ups that give your team a temporary boost. Use these strategically to maximize your point potential and gain an edge over other teams.
Example:
Shot Accuracy Boost: +2 Points for every shot made for one game
Sweep Precision Boost: +2 Points for every successful sweep for one game
